I grew up in Northwest Iceland, where mountains stretch across the horizon and life is close to nature. These mountains carry echoes of my own life and that of my great-uncle, Jónas Tryggvason (1916–1983), who grew up in the same place decades before me. My compositions enter a dialogue with his words and music, written to poems that resonated with him. Across it all is a shared thread of human experience: our connection to nature, the dreams we carry, and the natural contrasts of light and darkness.

The vinyl includes five Icelandic poems heard on the album, with English translations by Elin Thordarson. For now, the album is available exclusively on vinyl in a limited, hand-numbered edition of 200 copies.
